In an isolated town in the Peruvian Amazon, a local consul courts trouble when he's harassed by a military diplomat and his estranged daughter suddenly appears. But amid all the chaos, the consul finds refuge in the arms of an ex-cabaret girl. Based on a novel by Chilean author Carlos Franz and filmed on location in the Amazon, this moving story shows how politics, passion and vice can easily destroy paradise.
