The poor college student Arun falls for a woman through her poetry. Unbeknownst to him, the poetess in question is the rich and haughty Shalu, a student he's sparred with frequently who disguises the source of her verses with a pseudonym. As the two come closer to the truth and a real attraction, Shalu's social-climbing brother attempts to break the pair apart. This Bollywood entertainment features plenty of song-and-dance fun.
