Part of the series profiling some of Hollywood's most powerful helmsmen, this 1997 documentary chronicles the career of Joel Shumacher, who entered the film industry as a costume designer, soon becoming a writer and, ultimately, a director. He went on to head such blockbusters as A Time to Kill, The Client, Flatliners and St. Elmo's Fire. Included are interviews with stars Kevin Bacon, Uma Thurman and Arnold Schwarzenegger, among others.
