Desperate to save his farm, Quebec Bill (Kris Kristofferson) sees dollar signs in exploiting Prohibition laws. The grizzled cattleman hatches a whiskey-smuggling scheme and, accompanied by his son Wild Bill (Charlie McDermott), embarks on a life-changing adventure across the U.S.-Canadian border. The final film in Jay Craven's "Vermont frontier" trilogy is based on Howard Frank Mosher's award-winning novel. Geneviève Bujold co-stars.
