Love is risky. So finds tango singer Renzo (Dario Grandinetti), who worships his idol, fellow singer Carlos Gardel, so much that he begins to adopt his look at the urging of his musician wife, Juanita (Aitana Sanchez Gijon). Soon, he's working as Gardel's stand-in, much to Juanita's delight. But after a while, he begins to wonder who he truly is and whom Juanita truly loves: humble Renzo or the more famous Gardel.
