Seventeen-year-old Aussie Ralph (Matt Day) dreams of making it big as a country-western singer. But the Grand Ole Opry is a long way from his family's farm in the outback. Undeterred by geography, Ralph sets out on a journey that will change his life. On the road to Sydney, however, a run-in with sexy redheaded singer Patsy (Miranda Otto) and her crooked boyfriend, Boyd (Richard Roxburgh), could derail the budding musician's plans for stardom.
