Don't Go Near the Water

War doesn't seem half bad in director Charles Walters' satirical gem about the Navy public relations department, which is spending World War II far from the shooting on a tiny island in the South Pacific. Still, life is no picnic for Lt. Max Siegel (Glenn Ford): As second in command to a nitwit, Siegel must keep his boss out of trouble, the media happy and the sailors in dates. The talented cast also includes Earl Holliman and Anne Francis.
