Soprano Katia Ricciarelli performs the title role in this 1982 staging of Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti's grand opera based on Sir Walter Scott's novel about a family feud, an ill-fated romance, duplicity and murder. The sterling production features acclaimed conductor Lamberto Gardelli at the helm, baritone Leo Nucci, bass John-Paul Bogart and celebrated tenor José Carreras as the ardent Lord Edgardo.
