Doomsday: The Sinking of Japan

  (2006)
Nihon Chinbotsu
In the wake of an underwater earthquake, scientists learn that Japan will fall into the sea in 40 years. This doomsday warning is soon eclipsed by Dr. Tadokoro's (Etsushi Toyokawa) discovery that the event will, in fact, occur in less than a year. As scientists race to prevent the devastation, politicians seek to exploit the situation. Mayuko Fukuda and Tsuyoshi Kusanagi co-star in this special effects-laden thriller.
