When Olivia King (Diana Ross) was a young, up-and-coming vocalist, she left her daughter Kayla (Brandy) behind as she pursued the bright lights of stardom. Now, nearly two decades later, Olivia wants to reconcile their relationship. But with a burgeoning career of her own and no shortage of hard feelings, Kayla is cautious about renewing family ties. This made-for-TV melodrama features vocal performances by both singers.
