Down to Earth

In this quasi-sequel to 1941's Here Comes Mr. Jordan, Terpsichore (Rita Hayworth), the Greek muse of dance, learns that Broadway producer Danny Miller (Larry Parks) is mounting a show about her. Not at all pleased, she descends from the heavens to quash the project. But things get complicated when she falls for the producer and can't risk telling him who she really is. The film was remade in 1980 as Xanadu, starring Olivia Newton-John.
