Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: 1932 & 1941
(1932)|
Robert Louis Stevenson's novella comes chillingly to life in this double bill boasting vintage versions of his enduring tale about a good doctor who morphs into a killer when he ventures into the unknown. Featuring an Oscar-winning turn by Fredric March in the title role, the 1932 adaptation also stars Miriam Hopkins. Ingrid Bergman lends support in the 1941 edition, with Spencer Tracy delivering a fine performance as Jekyll and his alter ego.
