Sergeant Joe Friday (the always-laconic Jack Webb, who also directs) and Officer Frank Smith (Ben Alexander) are the central characters in what's considered the most popular detective TV series of the 1950s. Included are the following vintage episodes: "The Big September," "The Big Seventeen," "The Big Show," "The Big Break" and "The Big Hands."
