After accidentally causing the death of his employer, Fei Lung (Wen Chiang Lung) is imprisoned, his reputation as an honest man forever tarnished. Upon his release years later, he returns to his old hometown to find the love of his life married to a conniving gambler who has frittered away all their money. When the man turns up dead, murdered by his creditors, Fei Lung is framed as the killer. But this time, he won't go down without a fight.
