Angst and injuries abound as the new season of this award-winning medical drama opens with Drs. Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) and Chen (Ming-Na) fighting for their lives after a road-rage incident ends with their car in the river. Meanwhile, Dr. Carter (Noah Wyle) falls off the wagon; Nurse Taggart (Linda Cardellini) and Dr. Kovac (Goran Visnjic) move in together; and Dr. Lewis (Sherry Stringfield) becomes chief of emergency medicine.
