The upheaval and violence of Haiti's past lays the groundwork for this experimental film by director Michelange Quay. An elderly white woman (Catherine Samie), her daughter (Sylvie Testud) and a shape-shifting servant (Hans Dacosta Saint-Val and Jean Noël Pierre) are among the players. Colonial tensions, voodoo rituals and even a food fight all factor into this startling visual poem.
