B.R. Chopra helmed this frank drama starring Meena Kumari and Ashok Kumar. When her spouse gets bumped off after fingering thieving co-worker Bihari (Jeevan), widowed Malti (Kumari) and her son, Raja, find a friend in her husband's boss, Prakash (Kumar). But scandalous rumors soon force Malti and Prakash to wed, and thanks to the vengeful Bihari's machinations, Raja refuses to accept Prakash as his new father. Can the marriage survive?
