After the murder of her gambler father, young Luna is taken in and raised by a kindly group of denizens of the cardplaying world. As she grows to adulthood, the resourceful Luna (Ana Torrent) makes the most of the hand life has dealt her, surviving through her own prowess at poker. But when she meets Juan (Manuel San Martín), the inveterate risk-taker is forced to reassess her empty lifestyle and consider playing for stakes beyond the table.
