Leading a division of Italian soldiers fighting in Egypt during World War II, Lt. Fiore (Emilio Solfrizzi) must rally his ill-equipped troops to fend off the encircling British forces. But the squad's mission becomes clouded when the lines of communication break down. Written and directed by Enzo Monteleone, this epic drama -- also starring Paolo Briguglia and Pierfrancesco Favino -- unflinchingly illustrates the hopelessness of warfare.
