An injury sidelines a star goalie in a key minor league soccer match, and the town loser Fernando (Fernando Tejero) must fill in. Luckily, a penalty delays the game's conclusion for one week, giving our hero some extra time to train. The town waits in agony, hoping against hope that Fernando will somehow block the titular "Longest Penalty Kick in the World." This underdog comedy earned a Best Screenplay nomination at Spain's Goya Awards in 2006.
