Electra, My Love

In this visually rich epic, director Miklos Jancso retools the classic myth of Electra, taking it to an isolated Hungarian locale. Electra (Mari Torocsik) and her brother Orestes know that their mother was to blame for killing their father years earlier. Orestes leaves home, and Electra waits for him to return with the bodies of her father's killers. When Orestes kills someone else instead, Electra seeks revenge -- by killing her brother.
