Lovely Anita Halstead (Loretta Young) impetuously dumps her wealthy, stable fiancé (Broderick Crawford) after meeting a suave magician named the Great Arturo (David Niven). Before you can say "abracadabra," she weds the illusionist and finds herself traveling the world as his stage assistant. Trouble is, Anita longs for the simple life of a rural housewife and soon pulls a disappearing act -- sending Arturo in pursuit to recapture her heart.
