Gavin "Gray Ghost" Gray (Dennis Quaid) is a bona fide Louisiana football legend with a brilliant future in the NFL all but assured. To make his joy complete, Gray marries his college sweetheart (Jessica Lange), who's also homecoming queen (naturally!). But the unpredictability of real life soon intrudes on their fairy-tale romance as they experience many ups and downs through their decades of marriage. Timothy Hutton and John Goodman co-star.
