In director David Grieco's film based on true events, police detective Vadim Lesiev (Marton Csokas) tracks "the Monster of Rostov" -- Russian literature professor Andrei Chikatilo (Malcolm McDowell), a vicious serial killer who covers his bloody crimes by eating his victims. The story follows Lesiev as he investigates Chikatilo's gruesome activities in hopes of catching the elusive psychopath, which entails getting inside the madman's mind.
