Eye of the Needle

Donald Sutherland is the Needle, a German spy who's uncovered critical information about the D-Day invasion but is shipwrecked trying to rendezvous with a U-boat that will get him, and his secret, out of England. Stranded on a remote island, he falls in love with a woman (Kate Nelligan) who lives there with her disabled husband, and must choose between his duty and his conflicted heart. This film is based on a best-selling novel by Ken Follett.
