When the security officer at a local mill discovers shady dealings on the part of the owners, he suddenly ends up dead, leaving behind a wife and two sons to fend for themselves. One son, Ravi (Shekhar Kapur), becomes a lawyer, while the other, Vijay (Jackie Shroff), becomes a thief. Both vow to find the true cause of their father's death (which the police had ruled an accident) so they can set about avenging it.
