After his girlfriend dumps him, 30-something Steven (Ron Menzel) falls for hospital volunteer Maria (Heidi Fellner) in this offbeat romantic comedy. Steven's outlook improves, but there's a catch -- to keep seeing Maria, he must pretend that he has a rare disease. Living a lie begins to take its toll as he falls deeper in love and struggles with the reality that he can't keep up the charade forever.
