Adapted from Sue Miller's novel, this tale centers on a family forever changed by autism. Lainey and David Eberline (Anjelica Huston and Sam Neill) decide against institutionalizing their autistic son, a burden that results in the couple's divorce. When their eldest daughter, Nina (Kyra Sedgwick), returns home, she begins looking at old photos and reflects on how her brother played a key role in shaping her family. Dermot Mulroney co-stars.
