Tom Baxter (Fredric Lane) runs a struggling landscaping business to earn a living for his wife, Fay (Mel Harris), teenage daughter Alex (Michelle Jackson) and son Nick (Cameron Bowen). Late one afternoon while Alex is out, a trio of criminals posing as a construction crew break into the Baxter home. They're after the security codes to the Mead Estate, an empty mansion where Tom does landscaping -- and where they think he has complete access.
