Fashions of 1934
(1934)|
Silver-screen icon Bette Davis goes platinum in this Depression-era movie musical about a fashion "pirate" (William Powell) and his lovely assistant (Davis), who travel to Paris to study the latest designs and bring haute couture home to the masses. Verree Teasdale co-stars as a bogus duchess who's betrothed to a big-time French designer, a lofty gent who has no idea that his bride is originally from Hoboken, N.J.
