Fate Did Not Let Me Go

  (2003)
On August 24, 1942, devoted mother Valli Ollendorf wrote a goodbye letter to her young son, Ulrich, just before perishing in the Thereseinstadt concentration camp. Failing to reach the hands of its intended recipient for more than 50 years, the letter inexplicably finds its way to him in 1985, and at age 79, Ulrich finally reads his mother's last words. This moving film tells the heart-wrenching story of Valli's enduring letter to her son.
