Wild West miner John Murphy (Merlin Olsen) poses as a priest to help a group of orphans in this family-friendly show created by Michael Landon. Murphy, schoolteacher Mae Woodward (Katherine Cannon) and their miner pal (Moses Gunn) run the orphanage and protect the town from the likes of evil tycoons, bank robbers and other shady characters. In Season 1, Murphy proposes to Mae, and an orphan exposes Murphy's true identity, among other stories.
