In this striking documentary, filmmaker Christopher Felver paints a mesmerizing portrait of his longtime friend, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, revealing the events that shaped his transformation from Navy serviceman to pacifist and world-famous poet. Other highlights include interviews with friends and contemporaries Allen Ginsberg, Dave Eggers, Dennis Hopper, Gary Snyder, Amiri Baraka, Michael McClure, Jack Hirschman and Anne Waldman.
