Archival footage, candid interviews and a loose fictional tale interweave to tell the stories of two AIDS activists -- Canadian Tim McCaskell and South African Zackie Achmat -- in this haunting experimental documentary. Filmmaker John Greyson draws inspiration from the Gertrude Stein opera "Four Saints in Three Acts" to paint his portrait of greedy pharmaceutical companies and ineffectual politicians who fail to take action to stem the epidemic.
