When a young girl named Tsubasa follows a shooting star -- only to discover it's actually a spacecraft that has fallen to Earth -- she meets a friendly alien who gives her a clone of herself named Hikaru. Good thing, too, because when hostile aliens begin attacking Earth, Tsubasa finds that she can merge with Hikaru to form Figure 17, a biohumanoid combat system that may be the planet's only hope.
