Finian's Rainbow

Fred Astaire takes on his last lead musical role in Francis Ford Coppola's adaptation of this 1940s Broadway musical. The tale centers on Irishman Finian (Astaire), who moves to overseas with a pot of gold -- only to be pursued by a leprechaun (Tommy Steele). Meanwhile, Finian's lovelorn daughter, Sharon (Petula Clark), makes a wish that transforms the town's racist senator (Keenan Wynn) into a black man.
