Sterling Hayden stars as Dan Collier, a captain in charge of training pilots on U.S. Navy carriers, in this 1952 thriller that features actual newsreel footage from World War II. The stern skipper Collier faces a fight of his own in the form of a new commander on board the ship, even as he prepares others to do battle on the field. Co-stars Richard Carlson, William Phipps, John Bromfield and Keith Larsen.
