Years after his Protestant family is brutally attacked by Irish paramilitary forces, Willie Quinton (Iain Glen) seeks revenge in this drama set in 1920s Ireland. A romance with his cousin (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) cannot erase Willie's traumatic memories, especially of the sergeant who murdered his father. One family tragedy leads to the next, until the young man can no longer control his desire for revenge. Julie Christie also stars.
