Unaware that their friends are planning a lavish party for them that night, Walter Bingley (Wilfred Pickles) and his wife, Ada (Irene Handl), begin the day of their first wedding anniversary with an argument. As if that weren't bad enough, Walter loses the money for Ada's gift. Their wedded bliss continues to unravel even as they draw closer to the surprise party. Ronnie Baxter directs this comedy based on the hit British television show.
