Danny Perillo (Bryan Burke) is a shy boy who can't get up the nerve to express his true feelings to his best friend, Julie (Michelle Trachtenberg). Help comes in the form of Hubbie Darling (Ralph "the Karate Kid" Macchio), the ghost of a legendary Chicago sax player, who teaches Danny a few tricks about love and jazz. The made-for-TV movie (which was originally broadcast as "Can't Be Love") also features Diane Ladd and Rachel Ticotin.
