Twenty years after falling into a coma, Lizzie Brooks (Reba McEntire) awakens to find her daughter Emma (Heather Stephens) grown and her best friend and husband dependent on each other. Lizzie's caring husband, Alex (Tim Matheson), still loves her, but through the years he's come to rely on Lizzie's friend Gail (Bess Armstrong), who helped raise Emma. Lizzie, Alex, Emma and Gail must now reshape their lives around the surprising turn of events.
