Banished from England for treating the wounds of an enemy patient, physician turned pirate Captain Peter Blood (Louis Hayward) devotes his life to the open waters in this swashbuckling adventure. After falling for the beautiful Isabelita (Patricia Medina), the dashing buccaneer realizes that she's the niece of his adversary and greatest foe, the villainous Marquis de Riconete (George Macready).
