Director Phil Karlson's Southern-fried tale of revenge stars Joe Don Baker as professional gambler Ron Lewis, who's railroaded and wrongly sent to prison for killing a deputy sheriff in self-defense. When Lewis is paroled after a four-year stretch in the big house, he vows to even the score with the corrupt cops who set him up. The supporting cast includes Brock Peters, John Marley and Conny Van Dyke.
