A master of bebop, hard bop and post-bop styles, freewheeling trumpet player Freddie Hubbard shines in two blazing sets filmed in 1980 for the television series "Ad Lib." Backed by pianist Billy Childs, drummer Stephen Houghton, bassist Larry Klein and percussionist Buck Clark, Hubbard performs "There Is No Greater Love," "One of a Kind," "Love Connection" and the title track from his Grammy-winning album "First Light."
