Abandoning London society for her country home in Cornwall, Lady Dona St. Colomb (Tara Fitzgerald) arrives to find that a rowdy band of French pirates has taken over her family home. Of course, one of them (Anthony Delon) particularly annoys her with his unsophisticated manner, but it doesn't take long for their dueling spirits to kick up sparks. This 17th-century romance is based on the book by Daphne du Maurier.
