Ofelia Medina turns in a stellar performance as renowned Mexican painter Frida Kahlo in this moving biopic revealing the painful personal life behind the artist's magnificent work, including her troubled relationship with husband Diego Rivera (Juan José Gurrola). Paul Leduc directs this masterful film, which also stars Max Kerlow as Kahlo's Russian friend Leon Trotsky and Salvador Sánchez as fellow painter David Alfaro Siqueiros.
