David Di Sabatino's engaging documentary chronicles the long, strange trip of evangelist Lonnie Frisbee, who, after baptizing throngs of counterculture teens at the height of the hippie explosion, made the pages of Time and Life magazines. Hailed as an icon of the so-called "Jesus movement," Frisbee was later banished from the very church that he founded when allegations of his homosexuality surfaced, and he was all but forgotten from history.
