Featuring interviews with close associates and clips from some of his best movies, this absorbing documentary charts the career of Fritz Lang, Austrian-born director of such landmark films as 1927's Metropolis. Focusing primarily on his early life and work -- including Lang's days as a painter and his meeting with notorious Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels in 1933 -- the film offers rare insight into the man behind the camera.
