Hong Kong comedian Stephen Chow is Ling Ling Chai, an international spy and a street vendor in Beijing. When The Man with the Golden Gun (Kam-Kong Wong) steals the skull of China's only dinosaur fossil, Chai is sent to Hong Kong to investigate. Chai bumbles his way through clues while being tailed by an assassin (Anita Yuen). Chow, who also directed, received a Best Actor nomination from the Hong Kong Film Awards for this comic crime caper.
