After his wife dies suddenly, San Francisco TV anchor Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) is left to raise his daughters, D.J. (Candace Cameron), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle (played in turns by twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen), all alone. What's a single father to do? Enlist the help of his brother-in-law, Jesse (John Stamos), and best friend, Joey (Dave Coulier). They move into Danny's sprawling Victorian in this debut season of the hit series.
